The Respite series couples the rich brown surface of clay with minimal glaze application. The definition of respite comes from the Latin root word ‘to turn around to look at.’ Each Respite vessel depicts a scene from the Pacific Northwest. Like its definition, each mountainous landscape grants a viewer temporary relief from physical exertion or mental responsibility.

Each vessel is to be used continuously, with comfort, until born into familiarity.

Respite Bowls are dishwasher and microwave safe, but it is encouraged to handwash these ceramic pieces. If microwaved, be aware that ceramic pieces will be hotter than normal commercial ceramic dishware.
